Kryssa is made by Joel Roos Studio. It collects no data at all. What you track, including your medicine, stays on your iPhone and is never sent to us or anyone else.
What Kryssa stores, and where
Your habits, schedules, times, notes, pauses, everything you tick off and your settings are stored only on your device: in the app's own storage, and in a shared app group container on the same iPhone so that Kryssa's widgets can show and tick off your habits. None of it leaves the device through Kryssa.
Reminders and alarms
Notifications and alarms are scheduled locally on your iPhone, using iOS notifications and Apple's AlarmKit. There are no push notifications and no servers of ours: Kryssa doesn't need an internet connection and works the same in flight mode.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use Siri or Shortcuts with Kryssa, iOS handles your request under Apple's privacy policy and hands Kryssa only the action, such as which habit to tick off. Kryssa does the rest on your device.
Exports
When you export to JSON or CSV, the file is created on your iPhone and goes only where you save or share it, for example to Files. Exports contain your habits and history, which can include information about your medicine, so keep them somewhere you trust. Restoring reads a file you choose; nothing is downloaded.
No account, no tracking
- No account or sign-in.
- No analytics, no tracking and no ads. Kryssa has no crash reporting of its own; if you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass on anonymous crash reports.
- No third-party code that collects data, and nothing shared with or sold to data brokers.
- No purchases, so no payment details are ever involved.
Backups and iCloud
This version of Kryssa has no iCloud sync. Like any app's data, Kryssa's data can be included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer) if you have them turned on. Those backups are handled by Apple and your device under your Apple Account, not by us.
Deleting your data
To remove a single habit and its history, archive it and then delete it from the archive. Delete the app to remove everything Kryssa has stored, including the widgets' data. Exports you have saved elsewhere stay where you put them until you delete them.
Not medical advice
Kryssa is a reminder tool, not a medical device. It doesn't give medical advice, and reminders can be delayed or missed if notifications are turned off, your phone is switched off or iOS limits them. Always follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
